Renovations and Hotels

Was flying back from Vegas the other day and was sitting to an asset manager at a Hotel Chain I will not name, and was watching how he was coming up with the budget for a 3.2 million dollar renovation on one of their hotels. Needless to say I was amazed at how he was just working with a excel sheet and was pretty much winging everything. He changed the numbers on remodeling a bathroom from 12k to 6k at least 6 time and couldn't make a decision. For three hours this went on, how can a major corporation have someone who is that clueless, about renovation prices. You could tell the look on his face and he was stumped every time he was trying to figure out a number to put by the itemized project.

Anyways my two cents....
